Counterfeit Car Parts Seized

IDEAL investigators had another outstanding success against counterfeiters.

Counterfeit car parts were being advertised on Turkish internet auction house. IDEAL investigators contacted the vendors and managed to identify the source of counterfeit items.

As a result of the investigation 100s of different types of counterfeit car parts and accesories were seized by the police.

The market value of seized goods was estimated at approx. USD 90.000

Customs seized counterfeit drinks

Customs in Antalya seized thousands of counterfeit and smuggled alcohol drinks of various brands. More than 10.000 bottles of counterfeit and smuggled drinks including famous whisky and vodka brands were seized by Antalya customs and anti-smuggling squad.

Counterfeit Moulds Seized

As a result of 6 months of hard work by IDEAL investigators, counterfeit moulds were seized by the police. The counterfeit moulds were used to produce counterfeit printer cartridges. The investigation was able to establish that these moulds were used to produce millions of counterfeit products in the past. Because of these moulds several OEMs were adversely affected over a period of many years.

Counterfeit Coffee Seized

IDEAL conducted another successful raid against counterfeit coffee producers and resellers. Operations were conducted on Istanbul's biggest wholesale grocerry market. Thousands of counterfeit coffee were seized from several wholesellers.

IACC Berlin Conference

IDEAL joined IACC Berlin Conference. During the Conference many IP professional meet and exchanged their views about today's counterfeit problems in many parts of the world. Issues on China, auction sites and customs were discussed. IDEAL joined IACC this year and hopes to contribute to the anticounterfeit world.
